Microsoft has this subscription as the perfect web based solution for organizations that dont need all the bells and whistles. This product even still allows for a large user base. Office 365 E1 is part of the Enterprise plans. Microsoft created this plan for organizations that have more than 300 users in their base.  Consequently, with Office 365 E1, there are no desktop applications are included with this product line. However, the use of the Microsoft application suite is still there. This is the web based version of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are available. These web based applications can be accessed by any web browser. Microsoft used to have the enterprise brand of this subscription to include Teams, but that is no longer the case. Microsoft Teams is sold separately as an add-on license.

Because you are using the web based version of Microsoft applications, doesnt mean that you cant take advantage of the additional services that are included. Microsoft includes SharePoint, Exchange, and OneDrive.  Consequently, Microsoft has the aforementioned services included for no additional cost. Office 365 E1 is a lightweight solution to accessing the Microsoft cloud space.  This subscription does not compromise the value of the products that are included. Microsoft has a key feature to note with this product, and it is that there is no limit to the amount of licenses which can be purchased. Unlike the Microsoft 365 Business Basic , Microsoft 365 Business Standard, or Microsoft 365 Business Premium plans which all have a 300 license maximum for each subscription plan.
